Melanie, tell us a little about yourself.
In 2001, an application in response to a traditional job ad led me to OTTO. I joined OTTO as a recruiter and still work in this area today. Before that, I studied French, economics and psychology at the University of Hamburg and gained professional experience in the new economy.

OTTO is a great, innovative company with great social commitment and many great colleagues.
Dos and Don'ts: What do you recommend applicants do during an interview? What do you pay particular attention to?
Good preparation is the key word. The most important thing in an interview is to remain authentic and show yourself as you are. I pay attention to whether applicants answer precisely, get to the point and follow a common thread. A don't for me is contradictory answers.
Insider tip: How can people convince you in an interview?
I like applicants who are reflective and have rough edges. I also like to laugh sometimes.
