Observing trends and new technologies is crucial in order to be able to react to changes in the best possible way."

"My day-to-day work is very varied and dynamic - no two days are the same. I see myself as an innovator - a mixture of trend scout, project manager and communicator. A central part of my work is identifying relevant trends for OTTO and translating them into innovation projects. We either drive the implementation in innovation management or we give targeted impulses to the organization. At the same time, I report on ongoing innovation projects and look for suitable partners for innovation projects, both internally and externally, for which I regularly attend conferences and am active on LinkedIn. I also organize the Inno Breakfast, a series of events that aims to provide impetus and inspiration on trends and bring innovations to fruition. Our department also produces an annual trend radar, which summarizes the 35 most important trends for OTTO and serves as a model from which we derive areas of innovation."

"An Inno Breakfast starts with a networking breakfast, followed by a keynote and a Q&A session. The event usually lasts one hour and takes place once a month. My personal highlight is the consistently positive feedback from participants and the continuously growing interest in the event series. I find the cross-industry exchange very valuable and think that both sides benefit from it."
